Western Blue recognized as Sacramento Sustainable Business

Sacramento, CA (April, 2009) Western Blue has been certified as a Sacramento Sustainable Business by Sacramento County’s Business Environmental Resource Center (BERC).

The Sacramento Sustainable Business certification is given to companies that voluntarily take actions to conserve resources and prevent pollution. There are five categories that a business can be certified in to be a part of this program. Western Blue is currently certified in three of the five categories, including: energy conservation, pollution prevention, and solid waste reduction.

Western Blue has a policy to promote sustainability within the company and is committed to understanding and complying with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
